Babylon Zoo was the project of Birmingham-born musician Jas Mann, who had spent years developing his sound before "Spaceman" catapulted him to overnight fame. Though subsequent releases struggled to match the single's commercial impact, the track itself remains one of the most distinctive British number ones of the 1990s.
